AALA’s 2005 Fall Newsletter! |
Welcome to AALA’s 2005 Fall Newsletter! The rush
of the Holidays will soon add to our already busy lives, but recognize
that now is a great time to do some housecleaning and plan for 2006.
Our newsletter has some great articles and tips that can help you
manage your life and career. Check out the resources from ALA national
to help you with your work, or to help you find a more rewarding
job. We have submissions from two 2005 speakers. The first is
a great article from Peter Metzner in which he continues his series
addressing how to help you manage (and understand) those around
you, and how stand out as a leader in the process. Howard Einstein
then follows up his great presentation from last spring with tips
on how to take control over your healthcare dollars. Thomas P.
Sukowicz has provided us with the second in his series on loss prevention,
or malpractice avoidance. In his current article he addresses the
existence or non-existence of an attorney-client relationship is
not explicitly communicated by the lawyer.
We of course have profiled another AALA member,
and in this issue our newest CLM recipient, James Gillespie, is
featured. Read about what make James tick and details about his
CLM Study Group.
I again want to call upon the great knowledge and
experience of our members and will be seeking contributions from
within the AALA for our newsletter. Contact me or Barry Shapiro
if you wish to contribute.
Thanks very much, and please let me know if you
have any suggestions or comments to improve our newsletter.
