From the Editor AALA's Summer 2006 Newsletter

Welcome to AALA’s Summer 2006 Newsletter!  This is my first edition as Editor. I am hopeful each and every one of you will find something of interest in this newsletter. I want to thank Brian Gedeon for his assistance in transitioning the newsletter to me. In addition, I want to thank Barry Shapiro who will also serve as Assistant Editor this year.

The summer is well underway and I hope everyone has plans to enjoy family vacations or personal sabbaticals of one kind or another. AALA hopes you also will take respite with all of us at our Summer Social on July 21 at Magnolia Hall in Piedmont Park. It's always a very fun event with lots of great prizes to be given away! Details are on the Chapter Calendar.

Additionally, we want to encourage everyone to show support for our vendors by attending our Business Partner Luncheon. Without the support of our vendors, we would be unable to provide the same quality of incredible learning and social opportunities this Chapter plans each year. This year's luncheon will take place on August 16 at Cobb Galleria Centre.

Let me close by congratulating our most recent CLMs, Carole Morris and Lori Bearden. We are so proud of both of you!
