May Chapter Meeting: A No-Brainer
By: Todd A. Wiggins

If my memory serves me correctly, I think the May Chapter Luncheon at the Sheraton Colony Square was a huge success. Our speaker, Marguerite Ham, gave an interactive workshop, or "Funshop" as she calls it, teaching us how to access our hibernating memories (memorease.com). If you're anything like me, this was a very welcome topic as I often find my brain turning to mush dealing with the issues we all face in our positions. I found Marguerite's techniques surprisingly easy, and they work! Do you remember the list we had to memorize at the end of the session? I do, and this after I could only remember one of the "test list" we had at the beginning of the session.

Now, stand up and let's recite the list together…..

1. Watermelon
2. Ice
3. Bananas
4. Kitty Litter
5. Cottage Cheese
6. Go to the grocery store
7. Pick up dry cleaning
8. Get a manicure
9. Get a haircut
10. Go to Home Depot

How many did you remember?

For those of you who didn't attend, this makes absolutely no sense and should teach you a valuable lesson. As they say, miss a little, miss a lot! So to avoid feeling left out, be sure to attend all of our chapter luncheons. Our June meeting promises to be yet another in a long line of "Must See" events. The AALA will present Techno-Humans: Putting the "Human" Back in "Human Technology" featuring Dr. Buffington. Please visit http://www.atlanta-ala.org/aalacalendar.htm for more details and to RSVP.
