Dental Implants
A Proven Method For Restoring Beautiful and Confident Smiles

In the course of life, teeth can be lost because of decay, gum disease, or accidents. The cosmetic defect due to the loss of a single front tooth often causes more trouble than the loss of a molar.

A dental implant is a replacement, which is as inconspicuous as possible, and which corresponds completely to the natural model in function and appearance.

Some well known methods of restoring natural teeth are bridges or dentures. For bridges, though, healthy dental enamel has to be sacrificed by grinding the adjacent teeth. Meanwhile, dentures lead to irreversible bone loss over time, and dentures have to be relined frequently to accomodate bone shrinkage over time.

Dental Implants, however, offer a more effective solution to missing teeth than the other discussed methods.

A dental implant is a small titanium screw or cylinder which is surgically placed in the bone. It replaces the root of the missing tooth, providing an anchor for your tooth. The dental implant material is "biocompatible" meaning no allergic reactions occur. The result is a natural appearance which is permanent.
